Under this system, in the first year after enrollment both the students of QBS and the students of Asian associated schools learn the basic business in the alma mater. Then by utilizing half a year, the first half of the second year, they will study abroad at associated business school. After that, they will spend the remaining half a year in the alma mater, and will finish their course.

The students from Asia spend half a year, from October to February, at QBS, and the QBS students of spend half a year, from February to July, in the destination school in Asia. Generally, the maximum number of students to be accepted by or from each associated business school will be two.
