The Acceptance of Enrolment Application

Admission Application for 2023 Academic Year

QBS has two different types of admission application gateway; “General Admission” and “Special Admission”. Outline of these two application gateways are summarized in the table below and the details are found in the official application brochures which can be downloaded from the following link.

In short, the “General Admission” is applicable to practically all the applicants. In this category, there is no prerequisite condition such as applicant’s professional field. On the other hand, “Special Admission” is especially designed for the applicants who are currently in the field of Management of Technology (MOT) or Asian Business, which are the focused areas of QBS. Selection Process Judgment by application documents. Evaluation and selection interview in Japanese for the successful applicants of the first-stage will be held either on Saturday, October 29, 2022 or Sunday, October 30, 2022. The specific date will be announced to individual person by postal mail. Reviewing all the submitted application documents, evaluation and selection interview in Japanese for all applicants will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2023.

Second test by video phone call over the Internet

Regardless of nationality, those meeting both of the following conditions (1) and (2) can choose a second test by video call using the Internet.

  1. (1) A person who resides outside of Japan
  2. (2) A person who can submit documents certifying their English language ability at the time of filing the application

* If the applicant wishes to conduct a second test by a video call over the Internet, he/she should mark the appropriate column of the application with **.

* The details, such as the date and time of the test, shall be provided after the email informing the applicant that he/she passed the first test.

English language proficiency examinations (TOEFL and TOEIC)
All applicants to Kyushu University Business School must take a written test of English in the second examination, unless they provide the documents certifying English proficiency (TOEFL or TOEIC official scorecard). Information below is the relevant instruction and the procedures for those wishing to take the TOEFL or TOEIC test in order to obtain a scorecard for Kyushu University Business School admission.
